We were granted for the first time the certification of CE Marking for the above-mentioned products on December 31, 1999.
 CE Marking means
It is a mark to prove that products exported to the EU (European Union) market conform to the requirements of the EC Directive which aims to protect health and safety of users and consumers.
It is mandatory to put CE Marking on the products exported from outside of EU to the EU market. The products with this marking are authorized for free distribution in the EU market.
CE is a word composed of the first initials of "Communaute Europeenne"
in French (meaning European Community).CommunauteEuropeenne
- Purposes of CE Marking
- CE Marking aims to unify the regulations for safety which exist independently among the EU member countries and to realize smooth distribution of safety-assured products in the EU market.
In the past there were differences in the scope or level of safety regulations among the member countries of EU and manufacturers outside EU had to modify the specifications of their products depending on the countries to which they wanted to export.
This fact has long been a burden to the manufacturers and would have prevented the unified market from putting the aimed advantages into practice.
EU Committee is now working to adjust and unify all regulations for safety of the member countries in each category such as machinery, medical products or toys.
- A directive (EC Directive) has been launched from the EU committee for
the purpose to create common regulations. The directive is collectively
called "New Approach Directive".
- The products which comply with the New Approach Directive must bear "CE
Marking" to prove that they have satisfied the requirements of the
Directive, and such products with the marking are authorized for free distribution
in the EU market.
